Strictly speaking, you can run this without the above two programs and airdropping files/photos/videos will work just fine. Easier to use a module someone else has made.

Of course, that means you need SSH enabled on your computer first.Īfter that, it's strongly recommended you use the InstallPSExec shortcut which will (with just one tap on your phone and nothing more to do on your computer) install both the required pieces of software on your computer to make this run neatly PSExec by Microsoft, and BurntToast which just makes it easier to show notifications like in the video. You need one base shortcut (SSH Main) which contains the communication logic that allows the others to work. Now however, you can basically do everything on your Windows computer from your iPhone including sharing files, which makes this possible. I made this years ago initially, when Shortcuts was buggier and you couldn't actually do much with SSH.
